New "Dangerous Dog Law" went into effect 1 July 06: Under a recently passed law regarding dangerous dogs, it will be easier to prosecute the owners of dangerous dogs. Under the new law, if it can be shown that an owner knew his or her dog had bitten, attacked or endangered people, then the owner can be charged with keeping a vicious dog if it attacks someone else.
